Chiropractic

Our Chiropractors place an emphasis on lumbo-pelvic integrity and core strength. They will take a functional, full body approach in both examining and treating injuries, and ensuring the best quality care through a variety of techniques. This is a different approach from many clinics, as it provides plenty of time face to face with the Chiropractor to give you the best care possible.

Physiotherapy

Our Physiotherapists at MYo Lab are hands on practitioners with an additional focus on rehabilitation. Exercises and manual therapy are utilized by our therapists to eliminate pain and prevent recurrences. These strategies can be implemented whether you are in acute pain, chronic pain, or recovering from certain types of surgery.

Massage Therapy

Our Registered Massage Therapists perform therapeutic massages to get to the source of your aches and pains. This strategy is vital for muscular injuries and taking tension out of the body, aiding in recovery. This is not only beneficial for reducing tightness throughout the body, but essential for managing soft-tissue injuries.

Personal Training

Driven by science-based results and long-term change, our Personal Trainers utilize personalized training treatment plans, focused training methods, and a premium array of equipment to bring our members to optimal strength and functionality.

Jasmine is a feel-good advocate, and nothing excites her more than others taking steps and changes to a better life, which can look different for everyone. As a new resident of Calgary, she’s blown away by the city’s culture and emphasis on incorporating and valuing activity and hopes to be able to support that culture down to an individual basis, everyone should be able to do what they love, comfortably and confidently.

She’s a firm believer that small consistent practices make big changes – movement, strength and good habit being major players. She also knows how frustrating the journey can be sometimes and is always happy to support the mental and physical challenges along the way.

Areas of Passion:

  1. Low Back/Hips: Arguably one of the most common complaints across all populations, often can be well managed with proper assessment, treatment, and movement. There’s a lot that goes on in the lumbar/hip complex and even more that we demand from it. Jasmine can help investigate the “why”, treat targeted areas near or far, encourage proper movement patterns to minimize discomfort and progress to increasing strength.

  2. Strength/Mobility: A fantastic preventative approach is to incorporate strength and mobility into our daily routines and can truly be the greatest form of “medication.” It not only allows for our tissues to be more resilient but improves our bodily awareness as well. It’s important to keep our goals in mind, but it’s just as important to know your starting point, and progress accordingly. Jasmine can help you navigate through how to do just that! Safely and effectively.

  3. Chronic Stress/Injuries: “You’re only as strong as your weakest link.” Having been through a few injuries herself, Jasmine understands how pain or discomfort (no matter how big or small) that a person has become accustomed to could lead to dramatic changes in their lives. This is including but not limited to levels and types of activity, compensation patterns, mood and overall wellbeing. Although this typically requires a lot of patience and effort on and off the treatment table, the outcome often FAR exceeds all the effort.

Treatment Techniques:

  • Steady, gradually deep, and focused

  • Trigger point release

  • Myofascial cupping
